ComScore’s former CEO lands new gig at ICX Media

Digital media and video intelligence firm ICX Media has named Serge Matta as president and CEO.

Matta most recently served as president of geo-location firm GroundTruth and previously served as president and CEO of comScore Inc., (NASDAQ: SCOR) the media analytics company. Founder Michael Avon, who until now served as CEO, will remain involved in the company as its executive chairman.

ICX Media also announced a $6.6 million funding raise, bringing its total fundraising to date to $16 million. The most recent raise was led by Boston venture fund PJC.

Matta resigned as CEO of troubled comScore in 2016 as the company faced de-listing on the Nasdaq exchange. Matta left the board of the company a few months later.

ComScore’s problems have continued since then, though it recently struck a funding deal with a new investor that would give that investor a 20 percent stake in the audience measurement firm.
