Ario Technologies Inc., a software-as-service company that delivers augmented reality (AR) technology to the industrial workforce enabling immediate and easy access to communal knowledge, announced today that the company is offering Ario Connect, a video calling application employing AR, for free throughout Q2 for 90 days. On March 31, 2020, the complimentary application first launched to existing customers in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spread and temporary, global migration to remote work.
“We are offering Ario Connect for free during these next months in light of the coronavirus outbreak,” said Joe Weaver, co-founder and chief executive officer of Ario Technologies, Inc. “Adapting to remote work can be challenging, particularly during a stressful health pandemic, and our team wants to help mitigate the uncomfortable transition. We hope our video calling app utilizing AR can provide far-reaching benefits for people communicating, mentoring, or simply performing daily operations while working remote from home.”
Ario Connect makes video call communication as seamless as in-person interaction. On an iOS mobile device, remote employees can use AR cursors to mark locations in the physical environment to efficiently direct on-site employees. As part of the 90-day free service, the application offers users the following capabilities:
Add animated 3D icons from a pre-generated library into the receiver’s field of vision to ensure accurate and concise communication.
Add animated 3D models from one’s organization to supplement guidance within a call.
Enjoy built-in features such as toggling device flashlight on/off and switching camera view to either receive or provide help.
Access dedicated support from the Ario team.
Use anywhere there’s a cellular or WiFi connection available.
