Territory, VP Marketing / Chief Marketing Officer / Head of Marketing

Location: Remote

Reporting to the CEO, Ellis McCue, this position will be responsible for leading and scaling all marketing efforts for Territory. This person will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team as the company is at a pivotal point in its next phase of growth.

Success Outcomes:

  2. Clearly define and establish a strong, differentiated and consistent brand narrative and position

  3. Articulate, generate awareness and communicate the Territory brand internally and externally

  4. Develop diverse marketing channels to reach new customers

  5. Attract, hire, develop and retain a world class team

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience with a digital brand with physical products and distribution channels

  • Has experience taking a brand from a niche customer set to a broader customer set

  • Has experience selling, differentiating and winning in their category

  • Experience scaling digital and non-digital channels

  • Past history of defining, developing and driving customer segments and success in new market entry

  • Excellent people leader, has managed teams of 15+ ideally across distributed locations

  • Has managed budget sizes of $5-$10M and helped to scale company revenue from $50M-$100M

  • Past experience driving a company’s GTM strategy and influencing cross functional teams

  • Ambassador and champion of building a strong company culture

  • Past experience with e-comm that goes through a delivery and supply chain is a plus

  • Past experience with successfully developing brand partnerships is a nice to have

  • Bias towards action: you take draft ideas and put them into bite sized tests to understand customer response and qualify opportunity, whether this is visuals, messages or products
