Richmond, VA – December 8, 2020 - NRV, a Richmond, Virginia-based venture capital firm, announced today its investment in Iron Sheepdog, headquartered in Williamsburg, Virginia. NRV was the sole funder in the round and will join Iron Sheepdog’s board of directors.
Iron Sheepdog provides a compelling technology solution to manage short haul trucking for construction and material companies. The company was founded by veterans of the construction industry who recognized the need for automation and efficiency in deployment, scheduling, tracking, billing and payment by both construction companies and dump truck operators. Iron Sheepdog generates revenue utilizing a fee-based model, serving markets throughout Virginia. The company has also expanded into Florida. With dozens of clients and hundreds of haulers utilizing its platform, the company is poised to scale its operation quickly.
